Most Asian Rubber Stock Prices Rise
There has been a trend of rising prices in Asian spot rubber since August 27, 2010 and this is largely due to the futures market gains and the active support from the international market.
According to a commodities trader in Singapore, the market is currently very active because buyers worry that TOCOM rubber's futures prices will break through 300 yen per kg and will keep pushing past that price mark. Thus, rubber buyers are stocking up for future demands. However, the Singapore analyst also believes that there may be some short covering as well.
